Art

Over the course of my studies and projects I have accumulated experience in a variety of creative subjects and programs. Most of my work has been spread across Unity and Blender, making a series of VFX effects and Shaders in the former and a few models in the latter. In addition to these skills I have a bit of experience in Krita, mostly regarding the editing of images and creation of simple graphics usable in VFX effects, as well as Inkscape where I have created some basic icons. In combination these various skills have allowed me to reinforce my Game Design endeavours with some visual components to shape their identity.

Following my introduction to the field of Technical Art I have taken a keen interest in the creation of shaders and VFX effects, as they require a combination of technical and creative knowledge. Nearly all of my shaders and VFX effects were created using Unity's built-in shader graph but I have created rudimental shaders in HLSL and possess an understanding of the render pipeline. Of particular interest to me is how VFX effects and shaders can be made more reactive to a player's actions.
I have largely engaged with 3D modelling as part of university courses but also for some personal projects. In both cases I have exclusively used Blender and am quite comfortable with it's functionality. So far I've stuck to modelling inanimate objects though I've used the very basics of the Blender animation kit. Each of my models was created using the box modeling method and I have a bit of experience in regards to sculpting.
